My team only has 2 people, so actually only 1/2 of my team didn't show up.

I'm going by mjmjr's post on the discussion thread:

Champs are determined by lowest overall score.

If you score 2nd in week one, your partner scores 4th, and your other partner is 12th, your total is your two best scores, (2nd and 4th) for a total of (6) points. The lowest total after 4 weeks is the winning team.

I placed 5th

Your team's numbers add up to more than mine. If I'd had a 3rd mate, you would have won (assuming he didn't post any scores)
