Sonic Unleashed

Anyone else marginally excited about this? Will Sonic Team finally redeem themselves? It's hard to tell from the videos, seemingly the players suck at controlling Sonic or something. I'll be getting the PS2 version if it makes the cut, but IGN said good things about the Wii version as well (both of which will be vastly different to the 360/PS3 version). I've been itching for a good Sonic game since Rush Adventure. I hope they don't disappoint us again. It will sell like hotcakes either way though.

Good lord I hope so. I was very pumped (and subsequently very let down) by the first next-gen Sonic title.

I'm crossing my fingers for the ps2 version being decent.

I think the wii version will be excellent. It looks as such, anyway.

I own a PS3 as well though, so I'm actually torn on which version to buy. It sounds as if the PS3 version isn't as good as the Wii one, doesn't it?

I dunno the engine specifically made for this game is only for the ps3 and xbox360 the wii and ps2 are using a modified version. So I'm gonna do the lets wait and see attitude.

I so hope this one turns out good. It looks like it, but you never know. I'm getting the 360 version, BTW.

Sry about the double post.

I'll probably end up getting both the Wii and PS3 versions if they turn out to have noticeable differences besides control and graphics. Unless one turns out to be less quality.

AFAIK it's based on the Wii version, with more jaggies and no motion control naturally :D I'm beginning to think this is another Rush game done in 3D. Which is not a bad thing per se. People who seek the old Sonic experience should simply engage with the various rom hacks and fangames out there. Sega won't be making Sonic the old-school way again.
