Ah sorry no, not 1cc. More like a 4cc. My view is if I can beat it on a dollar it is a win. Now I have 1cced several games, Truxton 1 for example, but dont actively practice to get to that point anymore.dunpeal2064 wrote:Solo'd it as in 1cc? If so, that is insanely impressive
I based my suggestions off of having followed Norris' grind towards getting the Gradius II 1cc, so I was only considering these games being played 1p, 1 credit, as I assumed that is how he is going to approach them.

I've never seen Stage 2, so I can't comment. It's funny how that long Stage 1 can beat or get near the default high score of 150K. Perhaps it's just a feeling of nostalgia playing on the Ultracade multi-game cabs. Being surprised how far I could really get there, only to lose my fully powered up blue weapon inches away from the boss and get taken back to a ... terrible checkpoint. Doesn't mean I hate it though. No hate for Truxton here, nope.dunpeal2064 wrote:Tatsujin Oh (Truxton 2) is terrible, don't listen to Exed and fastIt might be worth checking out once you have given their good games a go, but the 7 minute long stage 1 with almost nothing happening it torture. Then you die in stage 2, and get to experience the joy of terrible checkpoints. Seriously, some of the worst checkpoints I have seen in a game. It is beautiful and has good music, but the design in the game is shit.

Damn, E.E finally caught me on one. I'll go turn in my shmup card now (Where did you have to go when you turned yours in for calling Cannon Spike a shmup again?
)

Well I buried it in my grave when I used that tombstone generator for that horrible mistake. I couldn't stand to live! My second life, however, has been more successful. Just can't mention Progear and Eco Fighters together.dunpeal2064 wrote:Damn, E.E finally caught me on one. BATSUGUN SPECIAL
Easier than the original, prettier colors, and a hell of a lot of fun. One of the few 1cc's I've managed.
