Basically something I can easily play on my lunch break. Perhaps a game that can be saved often or anywhere, and can be enjoyed in bite size chunks (30 minutes or so).
Any recommendations?

screw that I play videogames while driving down the street and talking on the cell phone all at the same time!
Hey, what's that on the headline of the newspaper in the passenger seat?
"Crazed lunatic runs over group of children crossing the street and speeds away as if nothing happened. There is a reward for anyone who reports a Silver Ford Focus with blood stains under the fender."

Golden Sun -- especially since it had the one lobby feature where you could just battle monsters for a while in short periods of time.

Golden Sun and FF Dawn of Souls are great choices. Tactics Ogre is my favorite SRPG and it allows a "suspend game" function during battle. Granted playing SRPGs in bits can be confusing.

Golden Sun was great. Awesome little RPG. Get the sequel if you like the first!racketboy wrote:Golden Sun -- especially since it had the one lobby feature where you could just battle monsters for a while in short periods of time.

Try the Breath of Fire series too. I can't remember if there was a quicksave feature but I never felt like I needed one and I always played my handhelds on the move.

Agreed. Golden Sun is not only the best game for the Gameboy Advance, but one that is time and save friendly. Give it a go and DEFINITELY play the sequel. Amazing stuff.
