Yep. Silly Nintendo always having to make waves. Jump on the Wii U thread to see how thrilled people are with their downloads being linked to their machines. That's another +1 in the Vita column.dsheinem wrote:...and also know that your digital purchases are tied to a system, not to an account.

Re: 3DS XL vs. Vita
As much as I love Nintendo, it's still poor form. If your Nintendo console or portable takes a dump, you have to send it to Nintendo for recovery. I would NEVER buy the digital version of a game (discount or not) if the retail version is available...one because I'm a collector and two because it's freaking locked to hardware.oxymoron wrote:That's probably to avoid people from gamesharing.dsheinem wrote:...and also know that your digital purchases are tied to a system, not to an account.Omerta wrote:The Vita fits the Playstation ecosystem extremely well. If you're a PS3 gamer and/or plan on moving deeply into the PS4 realm, I'd say it's a much better choice.
A show of hands on this thread seems to put weight behind the theory that the 3DS has a better library. You also cannot escape the fact that you must continuously buy Nintendo hardware if you plan on keeping up with their massive line up of first party IPs.

Both are good systems in their own ways.
Instant Game Library with Playstation Plus definitely adds a lot of value to a Vita though.
