Did you read thru my HDAdvance/HDLoader Guide? I mentioned using regular IDE drives right at the beginning. Also you are not limited to 40gb, you can install quite a few games all loaded off an internal menu. There is also the Free MCBoot option if you don't want to buy the HDAdvance Disc.SoltanGris wrote:Thanks guys! Yeah I really just want to play games but wouldn't mind being able to store them all on an HD and not have to disk swap to play different games. Shame they do that BS where you have to buy their brand HD. I will have to get a paypal account and check out your sales threads.

Sorry, finally absorbed all that. Sounds awesome, I have a few 7200rpm IDE drives kicking around. Can't find the HDAdvance/HDLoader disks for sale, but I'll find a way.

Yeah the load time improvements can't be understated.
Short version is if one is a obsessive user who must play everything...
Use free mcboot, hard drive, and modchip all at once. That way the PS2 auto-boots imports and backups when inserted (including PS1), as well as straight to the homebrew menu with an empty/open tray.
