Death of PSP coming soon?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I've never let that stop me from amassing a library. I have more DS games than I have for any other system, but the only time I use my DS portably is when I'm on a plane (about 2-4x a year). The portable systems have a lot of good games that I don't feel should be dismissed because of being "just a handheld". Hell, handheld just means that you can get into a more comfortable position while playing.
I can agree with wanting to be occupied when on a plane.
As cousy as you may be laying around and playing a handheld, you can get just as cousy with a controller on a couch. I know I can get pretty cousy in my la-z-boy with any kind of controller. I've just never understood why someone would choose to play on a dinky little screen that'll crack under the pressure of a grown mans hands.
Any game that is on a handheld console has or should have a port on a proper console.

I just want to ask you if you have even USED the new screen compared to the old one. ITS WAAAAYYY better, its the fact that Sony hyped it up (like they do w/ everything) to the point everybody is disappointed.

This is the new strategy the guys at Sony cooked up, in conjunction with the PSP-3000, to discourage piracy. Duh.

Blasphemy!

Dare I say "suffers" and "PS2" don't belong in the same sentence? :P

Minus the wings, and the subsonic speeds, I find my car driving experience to be much like my flying experience.

No offense meant, but your exceptions include the essential experience of the PSP. What the homebrew/hackers should do, though, is figure out a way to emulate Dreamcast games on the PSP. Before too long, you could fit the entire library on three or four memory cards (they keep doubling in size every year), and the vision will be complete!

no, thats not what i mean, i mean there are games where you can see crappy scale lines in the game, and sony issued a statement that no future firmware will correct this,

what are you talking about? ship out a psp-3000 and not enough support in the gaming department is called discouraging? and when video game companies rely on holidays as most of their sales now we want to try to "discourage piracy"....by releasing a psp-3000 and hardly any games......whaaatttttt??????????

looks more like suicide,

piracy is really a cult, a very small percentage,

your really not making sense here, im going to give you a chance to clear this up.

Sorry, but I like the original games on the DC a lot more than I like the original games on the PSP. In fact, I've only really enjoyed Jeanne D'Arc so far, and not nearly as much as games like Skies of Arcadia, PSO, Grandia 2 or Sword of the Berzerk.

I know, a totally off-the-cuff remark gets completely over-analyzed.
I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games

Sarcasm. It gets lost in the written word sometimes. It's okay. :D :P

Reports of something's death?

A little premature.

That's what people said about the Dreamcast...

Hey, racketboy might not be too far from the truth, hm.

oh, and before 7.5 people jump through a window and yell at me "THE DREAMCAST ISN'T DEAD YET, JUST LOOK AT ALL THESE SHMUPS WE'VE BEEN GETTING AT A RATE OF ONE OR TWO A YEAR!"... no. At the point where you can't find a game for the console on a store shelf is when it's pretty well dead. Dreamcast has been dead for some time and it seems as though the PSP is slowing down too.
