Bone and Hobie: You definitely had some great acquisitions this month. I am particularly jealous of Cacoma Knight in Bizyland (since I have been seeking a copy for years), CIB Clash at Demonhead (since it is such an awesome game), and Power Strike (since I need it to complete my SMS collection). Nice work!

Like you, I am also done for the month. Thanks to a shipment from aaron and a nice find at a local thrift store, the 2600 came roaring back in the second half of October to surpass the PS3 in the coveted "most games added to prfsnl_gmr's collection" category. (I ended up acquiring sixteen 2600 games this month, and "only" thirteen PS3 games.) I am now really close to completing a few 2600 subsets - Absolute Entertainment, Activision standard labels, and Mythicon - and I may <gasp!> order a few games on eBay to finish them off.

This was also a big month for my PS1 long box collection, and a complete, long box copy of Tecmo World Golf that I acquired from a local video game store was definitely my find of the month. I am very, very happy about that one.

Finally, I was able to offset a lot of costs this month by quickly flipping a small lot that I acquired from a yard sale at a local game store. (I basically turned $10 into $90.) This allowed me to really bring in a lot of games at the end of the month for very little out-of-pocket cost.

Finally - and perhaps most importantly - I added a crown jewel to my bad SNES games collection with a $3 purchase of...Street Combat!!!!

Is there a secret meeting place I'm not aware of for finding games this time of year? Cuz yard sales/flea markets are virtually dry by now around here. I've got 2-3 thrift stores that provide minimal yield, that's it.

Good God, Some people on here acquire more games in a month than I do in a whole year. Wow. I have a console backlog about 30 deep and feel crazy buying more. Especially with PS+ dumping free games on me each month. Plus a PS4 coming in a couple weeks, and with my wife buying me a 3DSXL for Christmas. Not to mention my Steam backlog of 200+, I will never catch up.

I insist more people start posting in the Game Room / Home Theater thread. I need to see these collections. Do you guys with gigantic collections display them nicely or just have piles and boxes of games?

Truth. But I probably buy just as many comics as they do games, so I'm really no better.

Funny thing is, Ranma 1/2: Hard Battle was released just a few months later. Not by Irem, of course.

It also kept all the characters/graphics/music intact. What a difference a year makes!

Oh, and floor collections are BEST collections.
