Official PS+ Thread!

Post by Frag Mortuus »

I figured we could have an official thread that shows users what games are going to be free at any given time.

November 2013:

PS4:
Contrast
Resogun

PS3:
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
ibb & obb
Binary Domain

Vita:
Soul Sacrifice
Odd World: Strangers Wrath

I seriously consider the PS+ program to be the best money I've ever spent.

Soul Sacrifice is next on Vita?

I don't have that system yet, but I sure am glad I downloaded all those free games.

Soul Sacrifice is no surprise considering an updated version (or is it a sequel?) is coming next year.

Mmm. Still not sure whether to keep my PS4 pre-order. I think about it... every day. Thinking about getting Xbox One or saving for a gaming PC...

I'm just not excited about this PS4/One launch, at least not yet. Maybe it's just the backlog talking common sense to me. I'm with Ryan. :)

I never pre-ordered a PS4 - I figured I'd wait a few years to see which console had the most interesting games. There's only one game I'm interested in now, so I've been thinking about building a gaming PC instead of getting the PS4. It would be powerful enough for Gamecube and Wii emulation too!

The question is, do I wait until system requirements for Mirror's Edge 2 comes out, or just assume anything comparable to PS4 should be able to run it?

With my lame salary I've been thinking about this build:
CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($58.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 660 Ti 3GB Video Card ($233.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply ($19.99 @ Microcenter)
Total: $547.93
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

So, who is buying into the PSN horror sales? If you haven't played the Fatal Frame games I really recommend them. I'm not much of a horror fan either. Been thinking about Corpse Party. Is it as good as I've heard?

Good news for my wallet! I had been checking prices on Binary Domain and Dragon's Dogma recently.

It's funny that so many others are also thinking about building PC's. I'm planning on trying to build a PC around black Friday in the hopes that I'll be able to score some cheap ram, hard drives and a solid keyboard and mouse.

My PS+ backlog is pretty hefty at this point. I'd agree it was one of the best purchases I've made (between "freebies" and discounts, as far as games go). Still finishing off Deus Ex: HR at the moment, between quick plays of Runner2.

And for those thinking of throwing together a PC: DO IT. After putting mine together, I feel like I've pretty much got all my gaming needs taken care of for the next, like, forever.

There are a lot of people thinking about PCs, huh? I'll go make a PC build thread.

Anyone play Dragon's Dogma already? Looks cool.

We might have to differentiate between country, because I don't think that's for the US.

We do have a thread for this here: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... t=free+psn

No worries if you want to start a new one.
