I know it's always best to get a CRT TVs for retro games but I like having my Saturn and PS2 connected in the living room where I have my HDTV (while my SMS, Genesis/CD/32x "Segazord", SNES and N64 connected to a CRT in the bedroom). I am able to run the Dreamcast through VGA so no problem there.
I was checking out Amazon reviews for a couple of them but they seem to be all over the place in terms of quality. Anybody here use this for their classic gaming needs?
Are there any good Composite to HDMI Converter?

No matter what you do the results are going to look "meh" at best. You need to start with a better signal than composite if you're expecting anything to look good.

XRGB-mini, not cheap but very much worth it. even NES over composite looks good on an HDTV when you add in scanlines.

You can move up to component with your PS2 if your HDTV has the ports for it. It's a significant upgrade from composite and the cables are fairly inexpensive.

XRGB-mini? I'll look into that.
Thanks!
I had an older Vizio that had an S Video which I used for my Saturn and it looked pretty good. Now I have a 42 Plasma HDTV and my Saturn doesn't look absolutely hideous but it could be tons better.

Also a lot of AVR's will upconvert. However you will have to look at the specs to see if will even output composite via HDMI. Some won't. However, if it does output a composite signal over HDMI, it will also upconvert it to the resolution you have your output set to.
But like Apple said, it will look terrible.
