What's crazy is that 71 seems kind of young these days.

Edit*

Smile: Made a quick trip to the grocery store and met one of the most unusual people I've ever met while checking out.

The guys stands around 6'2", 215 pounds, paler than I am, bald, and although he looks intimidating, he talks with a lisp and gesticulated like a woman. He asked while smiling, "Beer before lunch, eh?", to which I responded "Nah, for the football game tonight".

He rolled his eyes, sighed, and asked "Hmm. Another Seahawks fan on the bandwagon". I explained that I was a Bears fan, but enjoy mnf with friends (although I was wearing a green, blue, and grey argyle sweater, so I could see the confusion).

He then pulled out an Oakland Raiders wallet and told me "Well, as you can see I had the time of my life yesterday". We talked about the qb touchdown, and when I mentioned bringing Gruden back, he flipped out a bit. "Hallelujah that Al Davis is dead, but Gruden is a no no. The Gruden bowl was a dozen years ago and look what he did to Tampa Bay!".

I said "Um, win a Super Bowl?", to which he shouted (he did shout) "But look how he left them! The personnel was left in shambles!" (he did say shambles).

Not saying big football loving guys shouldn't be effeminate, I'm saying that this guy was over the top hilarious. For all I know he isn't gay, he may just be super enthusiastic about everything.

:x Grandma's getting on my case. She acts like I'm really intelligent (which I am), but yet still argues that I'll never make it in New York City (which I will BIG TIME) because I blindly trust anyone (which I don't) and believe everything I read on the internet (which I don't).

She's one of those people who believes that if it's on the internet then it must be fake, a total lie or just stupid and that everyone on the internet is either lying or ignorant. And I'm one of those people who actually use their brains and knows that just because SOME things on the internet are bullshit and some people ARE stupid that it doesn't mean that ALL things on the internet are bullshit or that ALL people on the internet really ARE stupid.

She also:

* Believes that Avatar isn't a sci-fi reskin of Dances with Wolves
* Doesn't know what Kickstarter is
* Doesn't realize that as a filmmaker, I'd be better off in NYC than Orlando.
* Thinks that I really do need to go to film school to be a filmmaker, even though film school's only been around for a short time compared to cinema and that the best filmmakers never went to film school
* Believes I'm doomed if I set foot in NYC
* Thinks I'd be just as happy if I gave up on all my dreams for the future and just settled on something else
* Doesn't realize how much I need to move to NYC

But I'll have the last laugh when I'm rich and famous and all the naysayers are wishing they cared enough to encourage me, especially since those that did help me will reap the benefits of knowing someone rich and famous. But the haters and the naysayers will get NOTHING!!!!

What, a man who may possibly be gay liking a sport about large, athletic men getting hot and sweaty and run into each other, grappling, and possibly dogpiling is weird? :P

EDIT:
:? My mom really just doesn't understand why I want to get away from where we live for some reason. And I'm not totally sure what to say, other than that I want to get away from everyone here and the way politics work around this area. I feel like there is nothing here for me, as this area isn't a great place for cattle considering how poor much of the land is and how highly populated the area is getting. But I really just want to be away from the people more than anything.

Smile: Sold my iPad 2 and upgraded to a Surface Pro 2, which should be here by Wednesday. In case you're wondering, yes, it does feel very wrong to pay for a Microsoft-made machine, but dammit, I want to play PC games on a tablet, and that's what I'm going to do!

Frown: I got my score back for my University Physics midterm. Not too pretty. :/ At least I can take solace in the fact that most of my peers did about as poorly on this test.

I really like the Surface RT, I'm very jealous of your Pro 2. A friend at work just got one as well and it's great.

:) : Pawnshop tip I got off an employee last week was right on the money. For $12 I got Smash Bros. Melee(CIB), RE4(CIB), and a random Natsume brand fishing game :P.

 : For the first time ever I had the $3 per disc policy enforced on me :P. Girl charged $6 for RE4 solely because it was 2 discs :X.

:) : SSB Melee sold for $41.64 Shipped on Amazon within an hour of posting it. After Amazon took its chunk of change and I paid shipping I was left with $31.03. Plus a freebie loose copy of Melee that I got from a friend at work sold for $35.24($23.54 after fees/shipping) shipped right after :).

Do you have any apps you would recommend I get from the Windows Store? I'm going to get Hydro Thunder: Hurricane and BlazBlue CS, as well as the standard Facebook, Netflix, and Reddit apps, but are there any others you would suggest?

Smile - On Saturday my wife and I had a bunch of her friends over for food and fire. Several of them had never made a fire before and relished that we had a pit and that they could poke at it. The other half of her friends were former military and just had fun burning things. On Sunday, two of her friends that live around the corner came over to eat leftovers and play with fire in the firepit. I was going to rebuild the pit but after two solid burns, I think it is going to be ok. We realized we need about 10 more chairs to make a good pacman around the fire. The best part is my wife is sold on the firepit idea and wants to use it even more. So while we may not do it with two of us that often, we do have four friends within five minutes of us. Who will come over on weekends.

Ticked - we blew through six months of me cutting up small downed trees in two nights...
