Did anybody enjoy dino crisis..
Im talking about the first one, not 2-3 or any of the lightgun spin-off's...I bought it new and didnt like it so i didnt get very far to tell you the truth; But a couple of months ago I forced myself to play it, and it was pretty good. I thought the puzzles where hard though. I even had to resort to using the internet to help me
, frustrating. And i was playing the ps port not the dreamcast one...anybody else like this game?

i've downloaded it- but haven't played it yet. I'm kinda a sucker for dinosaurs though- so it would have to be really really bad for me to hate it. I mean- for heavens sake, i actually like turok games.

So as I recall from the five minutes I played of a demo back when it was released, it ends up being a cross between Resident Evil and Jurassic Park. Jurassic Evil, I guess. Tank controls, so if you can't stand those I'd steer clear. And you get a real gun, not just a dinky pistol.

Hell yeah! I bought Dino crisis when it first came out for playstation and beat it 4 damn times to get all the endings! the sequels sucked but i really loved the original. if course i haven't played it since 99....hmm maybe i should dig it out and give it another play through.
Re: Did anybody enjoy dino crisis..
Last month I finally got Code Veronica X for PS2 (already have it for the DC but I never bought a second console) and the controls were indeed terrible. I wonder if Alan Wake will better RE5 (supposing it's ever finished), not particularly a hard feat since RE4 was stiff itself.

YES!!!! I absolutely loved this game to death, I beat it plenty of times on the Dreamcast trying to get all 4 endings. Also, in my opinion, the first 2 DinoCrisis games are better than Resident Evil for 2 reasons. FIRST OFF, you can move while shooting and aiming, im not sure why Capcom thought it would be wise to not put it in their best franchise but at least in DinoCrisis they did, could you imagine how hard it would be if you couldnt backpedal while those damn raptors that jump in through the windows came after you!? Second, its dinosaurs. WHO DOESNT LOVE THEM?! not only are Dinosaurs cooler than zombies (in my opinion of course because i know just about everybody will want to argue.) they also push believability forward, and therefor makes the game more immersive. Say what you want but those are my 2 reasons for loving it. Also nikfil, your not crazy, i thoroughly enjoyed Turok 1(N64,PC), Turok 4: Evolution (PS2,GCN,Xbox), and Turok 5 (360,PS3) (those are the correct numbers right?)
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Did anybody enjoy dino crisis..
I really liked Dino Crisis, again for the reasons said here. It was a survival horror game with that Jurassic Park feel. Hardest part in my opinion was running outside with the T-Rex coming after you. Good stuff though.
I would like to point out that I think the tank controls ended up in games of that generation because Capcom wasn't sure how to handle 3D movement in that style, and the analog stick had yet to appear at that point. Bash them if you guys want, but I've played enough games like that to get used to it. Really racks up the tension in my mind.
