I voted against MULE, but now I feel kind of bad. I won't really be upset if it gets in.

Well, if Racketboy wants it I suppose it should go in, it is his site and he host the articles.

I feel I would feel more inclined in this respect if he participated in Together Retro more than he does. It kinda sucks having a game dictated to you by someone who then doesn't play it.Violent By Design wrote:Well, if Racketboy wants it I suppose it should go in, it is his site and he host the articles.

What game would be kicked off if Mule gets in?
I voted no anyway, since I have no interest in the game in particular.

Voted yes. I'd be willing to tackle the nes version.

We would probably put it in February. As for what games would get bounced off, no idea.Violent By Design wrote:What game would be kicked off if Mule gets in?

Voted yes.
Like Ultima IV, M.U.L.E is from a time before I really got into gaming and seems like an experience I would have missed. I also agree with the mandate that TR should bring important games to peoples attention.

When TR first started, I had no idea who was picking games. The next year I had no idea. I like it that way. I think we all should share input and then someone (ie Racket) will have the final say. The point is to play games together not replay our favorite games because we think they are awesome.fastbilly1 wrote:A fair enough assessment. However the founding core of TR was to not only play good games you may have missed but also historically relevant games in a variety of genres. While MULE is a historically relevant game , it almost single handedly created the economic sim genre, it is also a fantastic multiplayer game, that the majority of gamers have probably never heard of let alone played. Heck even industry greats give it credit: Will Wright stated it was a primary influence for The Sims and Miyamoto said it was one of hte driving factors to make Pikmin.alienjesus wrote:If the support isnt there, it's hardly a 'Together' Retro. I vote no.
That said, it is up to the masses for if it will be played. So vote.
I also vote yes since I will vote yes for anyone's idea, especially if its a game I have not played.

I haven't really played any of the games I voted for. I feel like most people are likely voting games that they have not experienced in a long time or not played at all. I could be off on that though, just my interpretation.SpaceBooger wrote:When TR first started, I had no idea who was picking games. The next year I had no idea. I like it that way. I guess MULE is happening. I'll be interested to see how much activity we see that month.
