I made Scotch Eggs for dinner on Friday night - used pork sausage on some, bacon on the others. Wow - so good. Can't believe i'd never heard of them. Was really nervous I wasn't doing it right, the rolled out pork sausage wasn't really wanting to wrap around the egg, but slowly it did, and after it cooked, it really formed a nice bond. I think the main difference in taste between this and just eating sausage and eggs is the yolk of a warm hardboiled egg has a totally different taste then when eaten at room temperature. Very good.

That has got to be one very, very thick soup. Interesting.mjmjr25 wrote: Last night we had pumpkin soup - something my wife makes once a year:

I've made pumpkin soup before too, though I used canned pumpkin instead of a whole one. It's decently thick but I've had thicker potato based soups.Luke wrote:That has got to be one very, very thick soup. I know the pumpkin will provide some moisture, but four chicken breasts, about two cups of veggies, two cans of cream 'o' soup, and one can of water doesn't sound very soupy. I'll have to try it out one day.
I do love pumpkin "meat" though. It's great to fry for treats, scrape for soups, and I like to cube pumpkin meat for shish kabobs.
Smile: A day of football followed by ribeye steaks on the grill, followed by having friends over to watch the Walking Dead.
Frown: The inevitable rise in cost of candy.

It is really thick when you put it in the oven - after 90 minutes, it pretty close to the consistency of your traditional definition of soup.Luke wrote:I know the pumpkin will provide some moisture, but four chicken breasts, about two cups of veggies, two cans of cream 'o' soup, and one can of water doesn't sound very soupy.
