That "donating" is mandatory?

That's still commonplace in most work environments.

It's not like my CEO tries to sell me his kids candy bars, but once a year everyone at work chips in on some charity. Also, it's "free" advertising.

People injured at the NC State Fair and details are vague.

I love amusement parks, but have never cared for fairs other than the Taste of Chicago (which is a food fair, so that probably doesn't count). Fairs are always too crowded and everyone walks at a snails pace. It reminds me of what it was like trying to walk through a crowded mall in the 80's.

Fried turkey legs are indeed excellent, but not worth the price of admission.

Thankfully they don't do that here. We have volunteer days, but they're not mandatory. And some folks ask about stuff like Girl Scout cookies, but I don't view those as mandatory either, and I get some kind of material gain out of those kinds of promotions. Not so much with mandatory United Way junk.

Not that I don't give to charity. I've emptied my wallet many times for things like the Salvation Army. But making it mandatory seems to completely remove the point and may go to organizations I don't agree with.

Ya know, I dont get turkey legs anymore. They are usually so sloppy and sticky that it isnt worth it. I think Renfest has a bunch of other delicious food that I get. This one shop makes a delicious sandwich. But really, choices are endless, there are probably atleast 100 different food vendors from various ethnically themed regions that offer delicious food.

They are just hardboiled eggs, shelled, wrapped in sausage, then covered in breadcrumbs and cooked a second time. When I worked as a short order cook we use to make them by the gross, but now we only make about four or six of them at a time. I often use less sausage than most people, oh and if you make them, you can easily wrap them in bacon instead. This is a pretty easy recipe for them.
