Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Man, I really can't decide whether I like Primitive Man. I've found times where I really like them, and I've found times where I can't stand them. Not really sure about them honestly.

I do agree Cathedral were better in their doom days. The stoner stuff looses a lot of what made them so individual.

I feel the same way about Primitive Man as I do about other brutal sludge bands like Eyehategod, Noothgrush, Grief, etc... You have to be in a certain mind set to listen to 'em.

On the topic of Cathedral, it seems like a lot of excellent death/doom bands "mature" into banal stoner/rock nonsense.

Celestial Season:
Great doom metal
Awful rock music

Pyogenesis:
Great doom metal
Bullshit

And it goes on.............
And of course it's not unique to doom metal.

It seems a lot more common in doom/death than other forms of doom, that is for sure.

I blame that on Anathema and Paradise Lost.

Cathedral:
I think I liked Lee Dorian a bit more when he was in Napalm Death.

Sludge/stoner stuff:
Does Boris count? I like them.
