The only thing I can remember is the shit they pulled with Electronic Arts back in the Genesis's first few years. EA got around it with the different shaped cartridges and the sort. But it really wasn't much, Sega just complained about EA not purchasing the dev kits and shit. Or something like that... I'll look it up for specifics.

[edit] Yeah it was in the 1990 that EA wanted in on Sega's console and they didn't like the licensing fees, hence the different shaped cartridges. They soon came to an agreement together though. So really it wasn't even Sega pitching a fit.

oh and I found THIS which I never heard about (and I thought I was a Sega guru) and was hilarious to read about.

Heh. Glad to read your post! It actually resolved one of those little puzzles that would tickle my brain every time I looked upon my Marble Madness or General Chaos carts -- why were the EA games shaped queerly? It was one of those passing thoughts -- never providing enough urge to actually research the matter :)

Man, I miss Sega.
