If we truly want to weed out all the idiots on Earth, legalize everything and remove all warning labels.

Aren't they just doing that with alcohol?

There are plenty of warnings on products containing alcohol. On the box, on the can, on the bottle, etc.

The idea is that stupid people will do more stupid things if warnings didn't exist.

Yes. It reinforces and is a reminder of what we already know. My Father is in perfect health, and is sixty-six years old. When younger he and his colleagues would go out for drinks at lunch every work day. Hell, he had a wet bar in his office. Would he have done the same had he known the dangers? No. That said, it doesn't sound like he regrets his old routine.

They would have nothing to defy but would certainly find some way to die early.

It isn't legal, at least not in any practical sense because I think it's legal to consume but not legal to buy, sell or grow it.

Growing the plant on private property for personal use, and consumption by adults in a private space is not illegal.

By the way, it's 100% legal in North Korea to grow, consume, buy and sell it
