something neat about GROWLANSER Generations

Post by weasels »

i was putting this down in the sony/microsoft forum but since this applies to an rpg i figured id put it here. ok so i recently baught growlanser generations for the ps2. i knowticed working designs released it. now being a owner of a few other games by them i know they usally do something special with their cases like a shiny background. when a shiny back ground is applied the flap is usally harder ( you can find this with silhoette mirage for the ps1) well for what ever reason i wanted to check the flap out randomly. and to my surprise i found something amazing. there is an optional cover with it! now i put this down because i doubt many pay this much attention to detail when it comes to the case and thought i could share this information.

Yeah, I've seen that with other game releases as well. Atlus has reversable covers on some of their games (Digital Devil Saga and Izuna 2 come to mind), which is a neat touch.

Cool, thanks for the tip. I picked up a Deluxe edition of Growlanser Generations a while back and obviously wasn't as observant as you were. Working Designs rocks. Boy do I miss that Publisher. One of these days, I'd like to make some sort of tribute to all of their games and the great art that comes with them.

yah i agree. it was great becasue they knew how to give fan service and they translated many japanese games to english for us to play. they really knew what to do for the fans. alas i miss them too and to see a tribute would be awsome!

Working Designs Tribute

Post by timewarpgamer »

weasels, I've collected nearly every game Working Designs ever released (including TG-16 ones like Exile and Vasteel), so one of these days I'm going to get a proper tribute up on my site. I just need to find the free time. I'm pleased to see the Atlus has at least somewhat stepped in to fill the void left by the demise of Working Designs.
