Older. Not wiser.

Best Deals:
Planescape: Torment - Goodwill - $3.99
SNES mini w/23 (quality) games - Craigslist - $100.00 - I sold all the games I didn't already have and made my money back while keeping Super Metroid, Mario All-Stars, Zombies ate my Neighbors, Castlevania IV, and Contra III. So technically, I got these games for free.
Bully (Wii) - $12.00 new - Target
Worst Deal:
Super Mario RPG - ebay - $50.00 - This is the first game I bought when I got back into retrogaming years ago and I grossly overpaid for it due to my own ignorance. I still occasionally slap myself on the forehead for that one.

Re: Best and Worst One-Time deals
I've had a lot of swap meet deals.
I'm waiting on a huge lot from ebay of dreamcast ps2 and psone games, paid about 100 for just over 100 games.
From what he listed and the picture you can only make out about 35 games. We'll see if it ends up a good deal.
As long as it's not demo cds and burned copies of games I wont mind a dollar a game.

I don't know...100 bucks for 100 copies of Madden doesn't sound so great either.

Re: Best and Worst One-Time deals
I know this is thread necromancy, but I just had to get this one out there.
I just picked up a mint/complete copy of Metal Gear Solid 3 Limited Edition for $10 at a pawn shop. Compare $10 to this. http://www.videogamepricecharts.com/gam ... ed-edition
I've got a few other good deals recently as well, such as a mint/complete copy of Jade Cocoon for $1 hidden in the music section at a Good Will, but none of them compare to that.

Re: Best and Worst One-Time deals
Not sure if this falls into the good or bad catagory, but I thought it was awesome. A guy at work was selling all his old videogames, and I got the following:
Odyssey 2 with 19 games, including Computer Intro - $50
Jaguar with Tempest 2k, Theme Park, and Cybersomething - $20
Unfortunately, the controllers for the Odyssey are going. Only one works consistently, and they never decided if they want the right or the left controller to be the primary. So I found my second awesome deal.
Original silver Odyssey 2 with 2 games (that I already have) - $0.99 plus $12 shipping. Yay ebay!

Re: Best and Worst One-Time deals
^^^^The Jaguar is a pretty damn good deal at that price, not to mention that Tempest is one of the better games for the system.
Re: Best and Worst One-Time deals
Soul Calibur for 50p (like 30cents or something) was a good deal
Worst deal though would be when I bought a playstation 1 for my brothers birthday, which was about a week before a massive price drop, I think I paid £180 and it was £130 by the end of the week or something. Bad times
