On the old forum I use to talk on, some one told me that the MIJ models were smoother at the ends of the spectrum. After messing with both for a while, I ended up selling the MIJ model and keeping my MIT model. My old Taiwan model was what I was use to hearing for so long, even if the MIJ model sounded better, it didn't sound "right" to me.TSTR wrote:I went through the whole Taiwan/Japan debate when I was looking for my HM-2.
Ah, that's an easy fix. I believe that guitar has an input jack plate on the side, right? With four little screws? Just take the screws out and pull the jack out. If the jack is loose and it's been spinning, then you'd check for any busted wires or solder joints. But it probably just needs to be bent and/or cleaned and tightened up. You can bend the "arm" in a little more so it's a tighter contact with the plug. If your bridge is tarnished, there's no reason not to believe the input jack is the same. You might need to clean it up with some steel wool or similar if there's corrosion, or just some alcohol or contact cleaner. Tighten the nut up with a socket (while you hold the inside of the jack so it don't spin) and screw it back in.WrathOskvro wrote:The input jack cuts out on me and is way too loose now
lol, this video is basically everything I just said:
Ah, reminds me of the G&L Tele models that came out earlier this year. They're made in Indonesia, so they're a lot cheaper. But I got to try one out and they're really nice guitars.WrathOskvro wrote:Check this beauty:
