but many people argue that the WIi has a great library of games and its not about motion controls

-Donkey Kong Country Returns
-Epic Mickey
-Gradius Rebirth - (nes/snes game)
-House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return - (2 is a Dreamcast game, 3 is non exclusvie)
-House of the Dead: Overkill - (not an exclusive)
-The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
-The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - (not exclusive)
-Mario Kart Wii
-Metal Slug Anthology - (ported many times over)
-Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
-Metroid Prime Trilogy - (2 ports and 1 mentioned above it)
-Metroid: Other M
-New Super Mario Bros. Wii
-No More Heroes 1 & 2- only 1 is exclusive
-Pandora's Tower
-Pinball Hall of Fame games
-Rayman Origins - (not an exclusive)
-Red Steel 1 & 2
-Resident Evil- (port)
-Resident Evil 4- (port)
-Resident Evil: Zero- (port)
-Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles - (not an exclusive)
-Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles - (not an exclusive)
-Samurai Shodown Anthology- (neo geo game)
-Sin and Punishment: Star Successor
-SNK Arcade Classics - (ports)
-Super Mario All-Stars
-Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2

Don't get me wrong, I like ports and remakes its convenient but it can't be mentioned as a reason to buy a console. Looking back at your list , seems like Nintendo releases are the only exclusive worthwhile titles

Dead wrong. The ReBirth series are original games.

You are REALLY stretching the term "port" here. Rebirth games are far from ports. Entire collections are worth far more for their price then buying each individual Neo Geo games for far too much. And how many of those "ports" are still only between Wii and GameCube?

And truthfully, I didn't know the PS3 got a port of those RE games, a full 3 years later.

Regardless, I don't recall being limited to only listing ports. By that mentality, then what's the point of buying an XBox 360 or PS3, either?

That list is far from incomplete in terms of sheer volumes of the variety of games. There were some dogs, but also other exclusives such as Sky Crawlers (not Landers) and Elebits. So many out there to discover.

Yeah, BD's list is far from exhaustive, and even when you exclude non-exclusives and port compilations, you still have a list that makes owning the console worthwhile.

Guys let's all just agree that the wii is still a fun system regardless of ports or exclusives or whatever. It's a great system for the family.

I dont get what the point is of highlighting that games are ports. I mean ports have to be played some where right..?

I feel like some gamers feel like ports or multiplats should be thrusted into this limbo, where they can never be discussed in the same sentence as exclusive games. Multiplats still determine the strength of a library, and a lot of those ports are not even shared by the Wii's competitiors.

Forget all those Gamecube ports and shoddy anthologies (Metal Slug Anthology, from what I recall, had to be played with the Wiimote and you shook the controller to throw a grenade), these are the games worth getting:

Another Code: R
Battalion Wars 2
Boom Blox: Bash Party
Endless Ocean 1 & 2
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Geometry Wars
Last Story
Little King's Story
Muramasa: Demon Blade
Pandora's Tower
Rabbids Go Home
Sin & Punishment 2
Trauma Center: New Blood
Xenoblade Chronicles
Wario Land: Shake It
Zack & Wiki
Zelda: Skyward Sword

Then there's the standard Mario Galaxies, Smash Bros etc.
Currently playing Splinter Cell: Blacklist
