:| - The other day my girlfriend and I finally (mutually) decided to break up. We were together for almost 6 years but at least 1 or 2 of those years felt like we were nothing more than close friends. I'm honestly not sure how or why we were together for as long as we were. I guess we were both just too comfortable with our lives and afraid of change. For a while now I've felt like we would be better off as friends so we could move on with our lives and all that, but now that it's actually happening it's a strange thing to have to deal with, since emotions start to get real and everything. I know I'll get over it, but the main thing that sucks is she's literally my best friend, and I don't really have any other friends to vent to or go out and do stuff with to get my mind off of it. I just kinda feel uncomfortably alone.

I know this is all normal human emotion stuff. Not trying to be all "woe is me". Just venting.

Sorry to hear harper, hope things look up soon! Maybe you can go have a drink with some co-workers or something?

@Harper

Don't think that you are coming off as a woeful person who only complains about life... you really aren't. What you are experiencing is the enormous gap that has now been created in your life and how strange of an experience that is. People go through those experiences a lot, myself included.

I am really sorry that you are going through this though. No one should have to go through a tough breakup, even if it is mutual it still hurts. Things do get better and the reasons for the breakup are probably valid reasons and what will come of it will be for the better. For now, it is just a rollercoaster of emotions, which is normal!

:) : It's my day off.

:( : Today's been one of those days where you're supposed to be off, but instead you're doing busywork you couldn't do during the week until 4. So it feels like I worked today.

Smile: I had a dream last night that while I was at a video game convention in Chicago I met Bill Murray.

Thank you brain for the best dream ever.

Recently when Joss Whedon was on The Nerdist, he talked about how he heard that Bill Murray will go up behind strangers in the city and cover their eyes. "Guess who?" and when they turn around he just says "no one will ever believe you when you tell them this happened" and he runs away. I can't imagine anything cooler happening to you.

The best part about that is that it is true.

He's not afraid to engage fans in Wrigleyville and Wrigley Field neither. I've never met the man, well not while I was conscious, but I've heard nothing about great things about him. And no matter what I read about "Bill Murray won't do another Ghost Busters" I still place all blame on Harold.

I feel like Zombie Land is pretty much proof that he WOULD do another Ghost Busters.

Murray would definitely be up to do another Ghostbusters, but I think that ship has sailed.

Smile: A Moen faucet in a Kohler sink? What kind of madness is this?

Although I talked a plumber down to $50 (previously $85) I thought "I got this". A friend helped, but with a few wrenches and a hacksaw, the uninstall and install of the new faucet was done in less than an hour.

It's a pretty nice faucet too, so my wife was more than pleased.
