Upon realizing that I had never played through any of the GameBoy Mega Man games, I decided to start chipping away at them. I started with Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge and discvoered that each of the Gameboy Mega Man games is like a "bridge" between NES installments. (That is, each game contains four robot masters from two sequential Mega Man games, and each game recycles enemies and level design from those games.) Although it took me a while to adjust to the smaller play area, the games control exactly like their NES counterparts, and I moved through them pretty quickly. The first game, Dr. Wily's Revenge, is much more difficult than Mega Man II, and I enjoyed the old fashioned "no charge-shot/no slide/no energy tanks" challenge quite a bit. Beating that game felt like an accomplishment, and Mega Man II was a cakewalk in comparison. As a Mega Man fan, however, I enjoyed both games, and I think I will make tracking down the rest of the games in the Gameboy Mega Man series a priority.
V is amazing and the only one that is completely unique robot masters. But yeah, they're all really good games.

Yeah.

I'd love to see V NES-ified.

The final stage in this one is one huge level too, it was definitely really cool and not like anything in any other game.

Also definitely check out Xtreme 1-2. Really pushed the GBC to its limits and it's cool how they kind of remix X1-2 around a bit.

at one point there was a planned/announced Mega Man collection for GBA that was going to be colorized versions of the GB games. It was rumored that it got canceled because of lost code from the GB games, so who knows!

I plan to! I have Xtreme 2, but I am still searching for a copy of Xtreme. Once I find it, I will dive into the series.

My heart broke when Capcom cancelled that game...

January-June (the first 50)
Commander Keen Episode 1: Marooned on Mars - PC
DLC Quest - PC
Live Freemium or Die - PC
Borderlands 2: Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt - PC
Marvel vs Capcom 3 - PS3
Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep - PC
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger - PC
Street Fighter IV - iOS
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R - Vita
The Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim - 360/PC
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages - GBC
Killzone: Mercenary - Vita
Galaga Legions DX - PS3
Angry Birds Star Wars II - iOS
Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack - Vita
Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower - PSP
Little Inferno - iOS
The Stanley Parable - PC *new*
Plants vs. Zombies - - Vita *new*

TOTAL: 70

Games Beaten: 2012 2011 2010

I played through about a half dozen "endings" of The Stanley Parable and thought the game was a hoot.

I didn't really like PvZ, but nonetheless I had difficulty putting it down. PopCap has that "just one more level" formula down pat. Very easy for a tower defense game, and a bit of a let down considering all the hype it has had.

Plants vs Zombies is a pretty old game now that has been ported a billion times. Plus, the tower defense genre has been saturated over the past few years with just about everything that can be done with it having been done, so I can see how the game would not impress new players

It's already on my list, but I beat Batman on the Genesis with one life last night. I love the soundtrack to that game. It sounds like a Genesis game should sound like.

I did use the trick to get 99 batarangs while in the museum, but I didn't use any codes, only patience.
