What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Yup. Not a fan of that one either.
How was the Day of the Dead remake?
Didn't see it. Even Romero's recent ones... I couldn't stand Land of the Dead, so I haven't seen Diary.
Day of the Dead is a fan-freaking-tastic zombie movie; if we're talking about the 1985 original and not the recent zombie movie with the same name but no connection otherwise. One of the best ever. My personal favorite.

The movie just soooo captures that sense of hopelessness, isolation, and claustrophobia that so many modern zombie films completely ignore. The jerk-off characters, you end up truly hating. That Captain is just such a dick.

And the characters of Doctor Frankenstein (that was his nickname in the movie, I can't remember his real name) and Bub are fantastic.

Some of the best zombie make-up you'll ever see, too. (Although a couple of the zombies in this season's premiere of Walking Dead were pretty wicked looking. Did you guys see that one hanging from the roof of the store by his guts? That was gnarly! Especially as he's looking around at everyone while hanging there. I loved it!)

The 28 Days Later sequel? There wasn't anything I strongly disliked, it was just underwhelming in comparison and not something I'll ever revisit. Didn't pack much of a punch like the original did.

Starring Liam Neeson (Taken, Batman Begins, Clash of the Titans), directed by Sam Raimi (Evil Dead movies and Spider-Man movies). And it even looked great, visually.

So you'd think it would have been a great movie.

It wasn't. All the characters were cardboard cut-outs with no depth at all. And frankly, the decisions they made in the film made absolutely no sense. So it was hard to take any of it seriously.

Skip this one.
I'm flabbergasted. I thought you would have loved DARKMAN.

Pretty good if you're into anthologies. It really captured the feel of those old horror comics. Perfect for Halloween viewing.

Curse of Chucky 7/10

I liked that this one went back to being a more serious film after the two straight up comedies that they tried with the last two films.

Pretty good effects and a very cool ending.

Not so sure about the continuity (It is supposed to take place a few years after Seed), but a good watch all the same.

I'm impressed. They managed to miss the point of the film to the point where it was painful for me to watch the video in under 30 seconds. Cringed around 20.

I think it is spot on. And they liked the movie. That is just their shtick, they do this to a bunch of movies.

I don't know their shtick. To me, it seemed like they were criticizing a movie for doing exactly what it was trying to do. Honestly, it confused me, like they had no idea what the movie was aiming for, and were just taking blind jabs at a genre they are clueless about in attempts to be funny.

Maybe my problem is that I'm not familiar with their videos and got confused.

The fact that stuff like this gets millions of views boggles my mind. I mean I sorta get why because I understand the logics of viral video and YouTube celebrity (I in fact have written about these things professionally), but on the other hand: WTF human race?
