I guess the market will decide that, but there's a nice mix of new and old IPs at launch for both sytems...they also have the whole "early adopter"/"next-gen" thing going for them, which the Wii U really didn't
The Wii didnt interest me until SSB. I mostly dislike the motion controls. I actually like the Wii U pad. I hope they release more VC games on it. Thing is, Nintendo will make games for the Wii U. People buy the Nintendo systems for the first party games as 3rd party support has been spotty for the last few generations.
I think the Wii U lineup is about as good as the XB1 or PS4 launch lineups. However, games like Destiny and 1886, and a few others interest me down the pipe.

Earthbound for the SNES will run you half the cost of a Wii U console.
Wind Waker HD is approximately 57 times better than the original version on the Cube. A used copy of Wind Waker for the Cube will run you about $25. $25 * 57 = $1425. You'll save over $1000 if you just get a U !
Actually I'm looking at the Wii U now on GameFAQs and I see a lot of stuff that interests me - either currently out or upcoming... Darksiders II, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, DuckTales Remastered, Game & Wario, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, Shin Megami Tensei meets Fire Emblem, Sonic: Lost World, X, etc..... I certainly don't need the console now but it'll be a good pick-up next year. I'll most definitely get a Wii U well before the PS4 or Xbone.

I like you... here is a math trophy
In all honesty, I can not try to convince anyone why they should give the Wii U a try. People have an opinion ahead of time and any effort to sway that opinion is a waste of time and energy. If there are no titles that interest you, then there are no titles that interest you. Time will tell on how successful the system is and how good their library becomes.
For me, I am enjoying the library currently available and I am enjoying the features the system offers. I found worth in it and already have a lineup of titles that interest me in the future so I am happy.

Is this still a thing? Haven't heard any news as of late...

You say that like you won't be the biggest Wii U fan on the forum in a couple of years.

So I decided to go for a complete set of Wii U games and am trading/selling off most of my Game Boy, Dreamcast, and PC titles in my trade list below to make room and raise funds. I'm especially interested in the Wii U versions of games released on other platforms so I can part with/replace those, but I'm open to any and all games you have.
Which reminds me, there's rumors of a Xeno game for the U.
Is that irony, or have you really not seen the trailer?
There's a trailer? Cool!
Is that it?
Looks neat. I wonder, and am too lazy to look it up myself, two things. It lists names of people involved with making the game (character design, music, etc). I wonder if these are part or all of the same team that made Xenoblade. And the other thing I wonder is if it's planned to be a U exclusive.
