Any pet peeves that involve video gamers. Nothing big like "laggers, hackers, rrod, trolls, lost connections, etc."
My three biggest ones:
• sometimes I will take a nap during the day, so I can stay up late at night and play a game in peace (yep, im that cool). Then, someone is up too at home and they talk to you and shit. It's like "yo, wtf does a man have to do to play in peace?".
• If you grew up with brothers and sisters who played video games, you probably experienced this. I hated this to death. My brothers would switch the orders of my game collection. That happens. But they would shuffle the games with the wrong cases. (ex: im trying to play PES on ps2, and open the case and GTA is in. Then I would have to open 5 cases to find my game.)
• people walking in front of the tv, and don't even warn you to pause.

Re: Your pet peeves regarding video games?
Just a gentle suggestion to change the title of the thread to "pet peeves regarding video gamers." I'm assuming the current heading is a slight mistake.
One of my peeves: Watching people play RPGs and suffering through their refusal to talk to every NPC. How can anyone be confident they understand what's going on without talking to each random pedestrian three times? And that's at the very least! This kind of sloppiness disturbs me.
I am fairly confident there is a direct correlation between this behavior and an unwillingness to ask for directions IRL.

Because JRPGs plots are often "Lolz bad guy wants to kill the world so it can be reborn" and it's not like you will get lostKey-Glyph wrote: How can anyone be confident they understand what's going on without talking to each random pedestrian three times?

People who think they know everything there is about video games.
Oh and people on forums that gang up on you just because you hate RPG's in general. >.>...

People that say that Nintendo releases the same Mario/Zelda/Smash Bros game over and over again. Example: at my lunch yesterday, two other people were talking about the new one coming out, and saying that Smash Bros it's always the same game released, ever since the Nintendo 64.
Counting next year, Smash Bros. will have had four releases in fifteen years. How many series could say something like that?

My cat decided a few weeks ago that sitting in my lap while i'm playing a game with an arcade stick is his new favorite thing. Now that I started ignoring him and letting him sit there, he has decided to lay on his side and stretch out until there's no more room left on my lap for the stick. If I play with a controller, he's more than content to lay down and sleep beside me. It's just when i'm using an arcade stick.
He used to just sit in front of the TV screens, now I put them all to the edge of whatever they're on so he can't do that anymore.

People always fighting for being player 1. You should only be player 1 if you know the game's menus really well and you can make quick choices so we can get to the game already. Not sure why some people think it's anything special other than that.
