Seriously? Now that's bizarre, never heard of that. Maybe you mean if you are younger/a freshman or something? I'm going to transfer to the state university next year and living in a dorm would simply be out of the question for me, I have a ton of shit, dogs, girlfriend, etc. And there are a lot of people that go to college that have families and stuff and certainly aren't going to be able to move into a dorm. I dunno, that just makes no sense to me.
At the college I went to there were traditional dorms and on-campus apartments. Underclassmen weren't allowed to live in the apartments - if they lived on campus they had to be in a dorm. Of course, no one had to live on campus...

You should live in a dorm for one semester though. That would be hilarious.

I do know that most colleges will allow you to get out of living in a dorm if you can fit into certain guidelines or situations- for example, if you are married. (I joked about getting married to get out of living in a dorm.)

 Just got the grades back from the two essays I've written for my English class so far. 99% on both of them.

Parents are almost all moved in at the new place. Can't wait to see it finished!

 The internet has been lousy and I have had quite the nasty losing streak in CSGO lately.

And the construction next door continues. They started at around 6:30am, and there is a concrete mixing truck parked and loudly mixing right in front of my house.

It's raining outside, so should they be pouring concrete in the rain? I may be missing something, but how will the concrete dry when it is raining?

I think that bobcat only runs in reverse because all I have heard all morning is "BEEP BEEP BEEP".

Ticked - we had a team get let go on 8/1 and they apparently found out about in late April and did nothing from April to August and said they were doing the work. I only recently got access to that database so I started handling issues and realized that they did nothing for two months so for the last four hours Ive been doing that groups job for my team. This is just a really bad joke.

Smile - last night my wife came in and said "we have both had really bad weeks, I bought you something" and handed me Windwaker HD and Pokemon Y (which she got on sale). Early anniversary gifts makes the sting of a bad week dull alot.

Concrete doesn't dry up, it hardens. Hence it doens't matter if it's raining or if it's underwater.

Well, that goes for most concretes, not all.

We're moving at work from one building to another. So I'll no longer be in the big building next to I-75/85 in the middle of Atlanta.

This is the building I currently inhabit. My cubicle is on the fourth floor, roughly under the TruTV sign. My department is moving to a building on the other side of campus that isn't easy to view, but it is closer to the rest of our division, as well as closer to the parking deck, the cafeteria, and our internal partners, so I'm excited.

A bit weird seeing how all my office stuff fits in a box though. I need to bring more personal items in, I guess. I might try sprucing up my cube the way the folks in Cartoon Network do:

That's actually one of the sparser CTN cubes in my experience...

i know this was a few days ago but congrats on passing the Network+. i am working on my A+ right now, probably will be taking Network+ and Security+ at some point next year also. my job is paying the fees so i really don't have a reason to not get certified.

Coincidental: Last night my wife came home and said "I bought you a gift. It's in my car".

Immediately I smiled, my eyes widened, and I rushed to her keys and out the door. "What could it be?" I wondered. "Clothes? Shoes? A new laptop? That chair I've been talking about nonstop?".

And there, in her car was a push broom. It's a nice bristled wooden push broom with at least a three foot width, but it's still a push broom. Passive aggressive suggestions to sweep the deck stink.
