One of Britain's best talks zombies...

Post by Ack »

Simon Pegg's talking about his thoughts on zombies in film(and briefly video games) in an article for The Guardian concerning Dead Set. It's got some pretty good stuff.

The Dead and the Quick

And all you Brits? Seriously, you've got a great actor there. I love everything I've ever seen the man do.

Me 2, I love Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and Run Fat Boy Run was pretty good as well.

This may seem strange, but I think my favorite part of Shaun of the Dead was the DVD extras, specifically when three characters were explaining how they got from point A to point B off camera, as a way of explaining potential plot holes. And specifically, it was because I found it hilarious they way they said the phrase "...the movie, Shaun of the Dead."

If you like Simon Pegg then you need to see Spaced. The movies aren't a patch on how fantastic this sitcom was.

Yeah, Spaced was excellent! My favorite episode is probably the one where they all go to the avant-garde art show, and Simon Pegg's character starts seeing zombies everywhere because he'd spent too much time playing Resident Evil 2. Absolutely classic!

heheh, the episode with "oregano" was good too...

also one of the comments after brooker's post was great-

I have to say, there is only one thing that makes me happier about the world than Obama's victory right now, and it is this:

Charlie Brooker and Simon Pegg are having a flame war about whether or not Zombies can run.

I think I've died and returned as a blissed out zombie.

But sorry Charlie, you put up a good case, but Simon's brilliant argument wins out.

ZOMBIES DON'T RUN
