Re: The PS4 thread
Sonic 3 is brilliant in my opinion but drops off during Carnival Zone. Marble Garden is magnificent in particular.
Frankly, they were supposed to be a single game though, and you can tell through the lock on. It's pretty much the best platformer ever made in my opinion when the two are combined.
I also have to agree, once you hit Lava Reef the game goes from pretty darn amazing to simply brilliant on every level. The Death Egg zone, especially parts 2 and 3, is probably my favorite.

Yeah but they did refign the level design between the 2 games. I mean S&K had an extra 6-8 months (I don't remember exactly how many) of development time, which for the time was an amazing long time (not to mention the game engine was completed)
Sometimes I wonder why didn't more companies take advantage of the lock-on technolodgy (are there other examples of cartridge based expansion packs like this?)

How many games delayed so far? Perhaps the Ps360 could have served another year while the chumps at MS/Sony trudge up the new consoles.

Re: The PS4 thread
I'm starting to agree with you. While I'm excited for the system the only three games I was definitely going to be playing at launch was Watch Dogs, Killzone, and Driveclub. Watch Dogs has been delayed and Driveclub may have been. Which leaves only Killzone. I want Assassin's Creed IV, but I have only played Assassin's Creed, so I don't want to start in on the 8th game in a series.Pulsar_t wrote:How many games delayed so far? Oh, well. The system will still be awesome and I have tons of other stuff to play until the spring when we start to get the really good stuff coming in.
Re: The PS4 thread
Admittedly in the case of Watch_Dogs, I can see why they would delay it. The primary competition for that game would have been Assassin's Creed, and I doubt Ubisoft is interested in competing with themselves.

How are you getting 8th? Seems to me that AC IV is the 6th.Frag Mortuus wrote:I'm starting to agree with you. Meh, just play Assasin's Creed 2 and be done with it. Chech Brotherhood too if you really want to, but after that the series went downhill fast.Frag Mortuus wrote: I want Assassin's Creed IV, but I have only played Assassin's Creed, so I don't want to start in on the 8th game in a series.
