Getting one for sure.
You planning on ordering a European copy of each game in your collection too? (seriously Nintendo, FUCK YOU)

Typically, there's a few games on each Nintendo console that get released in Europe first, or not in NA at all. Having a PAL 3DS could prove useful down the road.

That region locking still sucks though.

Like all the football games :P? (do the DS/PSP/PS2 versions of Fifa come out in the US?). I guess though that's why we got the excellent Inazuma Eleven games and you didn't. Same with some obscure European developed adventure games.

Yes....Sony got rid of it on home consoles 7 years ago, and Nintendo introduced it to handhelds for the first time ever. Let's reintroduce the 5 games per year rule again while we're at it.

Interested in comparisons from your point of view between the original 3DS and XL. Would you ever go back to the smaller one?

sure. Here's what I'm thinking after only a single evening of using the XL.

Like I said, the screen is fantastic. Very easy on the eyes, and I feel like I can play with it further away from my face and still be comfortable.

I like the weight of the XL a lot. It feels really sturdy to me as well. Good build.

I can see where you guys were coming from on stylus placement, and of course it's nice that it's a full-sized stylus. But ultimately, I don't play enough stylus games that it really matters to me that much.

The D-Pad feels a little different to me between models. Not sure if it's in my head? But it feels a little more 'clicky' on the XL, which I like.

I prefer the feel of the Select/Home/Start buttons on the XL. But I prefer the power button the OG. Now we're getting pretty nit-picky though.

Now funny enough, the main reason I like the XL is the luxuriously big screen. But the one thing the OG has going for it is also its size. There is definitely something to be said for a portable that you can actually fit in your pocket. The standard 3DS was easy to put in my sweatshirt pocket or back pocket of jeans (I know, I know) whereas the XL feels like something you have to carry instead.

Would I go back to the standard? Sure. It's still a great system. But if I had to choose, well, I did choose and decided that the bigger screen was for me.

I'm left handed so either way the stylus placement is not ideal for me. But I agree with you on most points. And part of the reason I ask is because I've been thinking of downgrading to a regular 3DS. Not sure I could ever go through with that though.
