All the connections seem fine? As far as I can tell and I made sure the switch was close to the port thing and hit the button two times but it didn't work. It's still not letting me use the buttons or anything.

You said it came with a GC adapter too, any way you can try it there? It would be easier to troubleshoot if you had more than one place to try it on, especially if it had a way to connect to the computer and the testing software there.

From what I understand, they sell new adapters these days that support more consoles with one device. It could very well just be the adapter that's bad too. The new one here works with the original Xbox and the PS3.

Well oddly enough the GC one works. I say oddly because the Xbox one was still new in the package? Wonder why it wasn't working...

I'll have to buy another one I guess...meh. Thanks for your help.

Good to see the GC one works. We know now the problem isn't with the internal side of things. Hope the new one works out for you. Not a problem. :)
