When the average is 4 eggs in 1,700 reviews, it's safe to say it's a quality product..

The PSU that EvilRyu2099 linked to is very nice.

Single 12v rail with 38A means that in the future if you decide to upgrade to a more power hungry GPU, you will have a PSU with enough grunt to deliver. Higher end cards (7950, etc) recommend 40A on the 12V rail, so this power supply will not only be forward thinking, it will be reliable and safe (no spikes ,etc).

Oh, I wasn't doubting that this was a bad PSU, because I know it's not, but in general you should.

Newegg shipping is usually faster than that, I usually get my orders in 2-3 days (most of my stuff is shipped from Kentucky when I order from then), and I live in Maine, so hopefully it won't take that long.

This is older, but a good read why sub $50 power supplies should never go anywhere near your PC if you're not willing to have it blow up on you at some point.

Your PC can only run as well as as the power that feeds it. I stuffed a $25 PS in a rarely used 'backup to the backup' PC once. The PS blew up while it was just idling and not doing any heavy lifting and took the mobo with it.

Yeah I think anyone who has DIY'd PCs at all has stories like this. I've also had a PSU I spent like $20 - $30 just up and start smoking and I wasn't doing anything at all with the computer.

You could probably used it up to a single 7950 or gtx 660.. Obviously a prebuilt PC from Best Buy or the like won't support anything like SLI or XFire.. And Bit Coin mining, hell the only way I'd do that is with a 3x+ crossfire... NVidia cards are not good bit coin cards.. Usually something like a Radeon HD 7970 is best use for that.. But with that said, I see a lot of moderately priced motherboards with Xfire support, so if anyone is planning on buying 2x new R9 280x(which is basically a slightly more powerful HD 7970), they can be had at $600/650.. Sounds like a lot, but considering the gtx 780 I bought is $650 and two of those cards probably outputs a 3D mark of 1.5 times the mark of my single card.. It makes me look like a fool..
