Favorite Retro Game
What's your favorite retro game ever. It can't be a game on a XBox, XBox 360, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Wii, Gamecube, Nintendo DS, PSP, or any other new or newish console I am forgetting.
Mine would be Super Mario Land 1 for the GameBoy. It was my first game I ever owned. It is also portable. I don't see how the controls are bad like everyone says and it is short but it is fun. By the way the first time I beat the whole game was on October 4th, 2008. Yeah, it was my first game ever (and I played it A LOT) and I just beat this year.

Damn, that's an impossible question to answer. I have to say, though, that my fondest retro memories involve two-player co-op play, blasting or beating the hell out of hordes of enemies. I logged a particularly large number of hours on Contra (NES) and Golden Axe (Genesis). With the former, I even got to the point where I could beat it without the 30 lives code or using any continues. For similar reasons, I also really enjoyed the Genesis games Gunstar Heroes and Streets of Rage.
I run the 8/16-bit retro site TimeWarpGamer and if you want to follow the latest updates, check me out on Twitter.

Easy, Nights Into Dreams for the Saturn! I swear I'll be buryed with that game. I just wish I could easily get the PS2 remake, or even better, I wish they would port it to 360. Or Dreamcast... a man can dream can't he???

Either Super Metroid, Final Fantasy VI, or Chrono Trigger. All are some of the finest games ever made, and I've played them over countless times.

Goldeneye on N64 or Worms Armageddeon on Dreamcast - four players of course.

Crystalis (NES)
Phantasy Star II (Gen)
Phantasy Star IV (Gen)
Final Fantasy III (SNES)
I also really love watching other people play Splatterhouse (TG-16), but I suck at it.

I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games

Well, what a general question we have here!
I'm guessing this means 'of all time' or something, right? If so, Super Mario World.

I could probably play Planescape: Torment nine billion times and still love it. Any of the Infinity Engine games, really.
