or if we go with Ultima IV it's free on GOG all the time.Violent By Design wrote:Just throwing this out there but the Ultima games are on sale on gog.com for 2.39 (Ultima 4-5-6 are bundled) as well as the Underworld games.
Can't we just do 7 since it's the best?noiseredux wrote:or if we go with Ultima IV it's free on GOG all the time.Violent By Design wrote:Just throwing this out there but the Ultima games are on sale on gog.com for 2.39 (Ultima 4-5-6 are bundled) as well as the Underworld games.

Was it really a policy?dsheinem wrote:I still don't think we should play a shmup or rpg...are we really not going to vote on the issue? Why would it be policy this year but next year it isn't?

Perhaps we could overlap with both SOTM and TRPG with TR. We could start an RPG at the same time the TRPG group does (one they've already picked or one that would fit into their schedule) and pick a shmup for TR that the SOTM folks would then be obligated to play in that particular month. That way we expose more people to all three groups and both popular genres get represented in TR. Is this a good compromise?pierrot wrote:It is in list of nominations, under "Other."dsheinem wrote:I still don't think we should play a shmup or rpg...are we really not going to vote on the issue? I understand where you're coming from considering how things went down last year, but TRPG, at least, just started up not long ago, and doesn't work on a monthly bases like TR or SOTM. Maybe it's just laziness, but I don't really see any need to filter out genres if we're essentially just selecting things based on popular vote to begin with.
