Sega Saturn Model 2 mod help

Post by dwc16 »

So I'm in the camp of (either with the pin 14 wire mod or A+B) of having my retail discs read and play just fine, but the backups of those discs (backed up using Alcohol 120% by myself also downloaded and burned from other sources) reading only as audio files. Suggestions?

I saw another post about this, but I'm serious when I ask: Is there a place to send the system to be modded or to simply buy a pre-modded system? I tried many years ago to mod a Model 1 system, then bought this Model 2 system and a chip, both with no success.

I'm a beginner in every sense of the word, but having done my PS1, PS2, Xbox and Gamecube, how can I be messing this up?

I do not have a ton of experience, and while it very well maybe an issue with the chip, I would recommend trying out the discs in a Saturn emulator just to double check the fact they work just to eliminate the possibility your CDs being burned improperly.

Apologies if you have already taken care to ensure you have functional backups.
