Anyone else playing?

Yeah I am watching it at my local gamestop. They have 4 special edition copies on their shelves that no one has touched.oxymoron wrote:It'll be in the bargain bin in a month or two.Fragems wrote:I really want it but I am holding off till the price drops.
If figure it will maybe be in the $20-30 range in 2-3 months that's when Ill grab it. As much as I liked Indigo prophecy and heavy rain I didn't get a ton of play time out of them. Indigo Prophecy I will admit I played 4-5 times but I have only gone through Heavy Rain once and I have a feeling it will be the same way with B2S.

Last time I was in game stop I had a creepy old hobo come up to me and blab for a solid 10 minutes about how he always wanted to be a Pokemon masterEvilRyu2099 wrote:Too many people playing Pokemon.

Re: Beyond Two Souls
yeah I'm def a fan of Quntic Dreams, but I'm gonna wait for a sale, which I'm sure will be soon enough.
Re: Beyond Two Souls
I'm close to completing the game now and I love it. If you're a fan of Quantic Dreams' games, then you should enjoy this one a lot.
I can see why it has divided critics so much though and I completely empathise with the flaws those critics on the more negative side of the spectrum see in the game. Compared to Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain, it feels like you have even less control over the game and they've made it even closer to being just a movie. And yes, the story can seem a little muddled at times (particularly the beginning). So those who were critical of those elements of the previous mentioned games, hate this "game" thinking it's nothing but an interactive movie. I somewhat disagree though and regardless of whether it's really a game or not, what ever it is, it's damn compelling.
Personally, I love the story and feel so connected to the character, Jodie, in this game. More so than most games I ever play. It's not often I play a game where I really feel something for the characters. That's something I love about this. I really feel something for the character and empathise with her. There are certainly decisions you can make in the game that not only shape the chapter you are in, but also Jodie as a person. I can understand people think it's annoying if they were expecting something like Heavy Rain where you had pretty big story changing decisions, but with this story, I am fine with how it's handled.
This time the controls and QTE really feel refined when compared to the previous games too. It feels less clumsy than Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain in terms of controls. My only problem, I would say, is it's not always obvious which direction to push during the fight sequences, but overall, it's a good system.
Overall, I think it's a worthy addition to Quantic Dreams' Interactive Thriller genre.
