I wanna turn gay for them...well maybe not, but that was still cool.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Yeah I saw them open for The Album Leaf a while back. They were pretty good, but there is a band from pheonix called the Minibosses that i think are better(hometown pride?). I've seen them play a bunch of house parties all the way back to 1999. Great stuff. Here's a vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsNngmdP ... re=related

You can download the Minibosses album for free from their site: http://www.minibosses.com/

Wow. I've been rocking this stuff lately. Minibosses are indeed very good also.
I like the fact that 8 bit era music was so progressive. They had to keep the music varied due to the limited amount of sounds that an 8 bit console could make. It translates over to rock music in an interesting way - if the musicians playing are skilled enough to keep up. That robotic-feeling tempo is hard to duplicate.

I love stuff from everyone mentioned in this thread. It's all good.
Re: Video game cover band
check out project x if you're into mega man interpretations. their mega man 2 album is phenomenal. there's lots of stuff on ug, a google search will probably give you nothing but "straight edge revenge." (which rules, but is definitely not appropriate for this thread)

Did they even do anything besides the MM2 and MM3 sets? That was one of the first cover albums I ever found.aaron wrote:check out project x if you're into mega man interpretations. their mega man 2 album is phenomenal. there's lots of stuff on ug, a google search will probably give you nothing but "straight edge revenge."
