Agreed, but it would be sales suicide.

Anyone crazy enough to want to release an album on cylinder probably isn't too concerned about actually turning a profit.

Yeah but that's a recording from 1979, I'm talking about a band writing, recording, and releasing music in the present day on one.

I can't think of anything more gimmicky.

Yeah but it was the best I could do. I had a phonograph cylinder player for a while but sold it to a museum a couple years back. But now I am about to do a restore/rebuild of a console record player - so I am kinda all over the place.
