:L Grandpa died. Death is weird. I need to get some new games or books or something. I got 15.04 to blow on PSN, maybe I can find something there to take my mind off things.

Sorry to hear that, man. Death is an inevitable part of life.

Most of my grandparents are gone thesedays as well. It's been pretty weird, grew up with a huge family and always had a lot of family time with my dad's mothers side of the family. She lost the battle to lung cancer this year and it was devastating to see the changes within one year alone. Otherwise she was always very healthy.

Now it's just my dad's father whom was never really involved with us, since he had kids with the second wife and is more in that family. Then my bi-polar super Christian grandma (love her to death though, usually haha) and my mom's birth parents in Chicago who I haven't seen in over a decade or something.

It's going to be a weird Christmas this year for us. Huh...

On the bright side...

:D

Spent $200 less than an initial estimate on some work done to my car. Love knowing a good mechanic in the area whom I've been going to and trust over the last few years. Good stuff.

Smile: My parents may visit my wife and I for Christmas. My genius scheme is working in only year two! Soon all family members will be visiting my house and I won't have to travel at all!

Mwuah-ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

I told the wife this would work, but no! She wants to go to Raleigh for Christmas dinner. No No! Soon her parents will also be driving to see us for the holidays.

Despite constant complaining from my in-laws (my parents supported the idea 100%) I told them last year "My wife and I are our own family, with our own house, and want to create our own traditions. From now on we're spending Christmas Day at home together. You're welcome to visit, but we're not doing the family tour thing any more".

It was the best Christmas ever.

I hated doing the the "your parents get X holidays, mine get y holidays" dance. Finally had to put my foot down.
