Fallout 3 and apparently Dark Souls already have mods that strip GFWL out I hear. Batman AA and AC as well as BioShock 2 are getting GFWL patched out. Its likely that it will all be done on a game by game basis.

I said "If" :p

I am waiting to see. But, I wouldn't be remotely surprised if nothing happens for the majority of games.

For a minute there I thought you were gonna go in MS headquarters guns blazing and then take some CEOs hostage.

I always hated GFWL, but I do feel horrible for people that spent so much on these games.

I don't play multiplayer with Dark Souls but I am worried a bit about it. I haven't found official news that it will be moved to Steamworks. I'm sure it will, I just want a confirmation, that's all.

Also, what will happen to Fable 3 for PC? If you know anything. I searched online and haven't found anything.

I've been avoiding purchasing any games that have GFWL on Steam regardless if they are on sale.

My Dark Souls (bought thru Steam) won't work right because of a weird GFWL error - for some reason on Win8 a lot of folks have this glitch where GFWL will absolutely not sync Dark Souls and will just tell you you're not signed in. Which means you have to play offline mode... and can't save. :x

Wish Bioshock and Bioshock 2 would finally get off GFWL.

Bioshock never used it. The packaging has the Games for Windows branding, but that's not the same (it did use SecureROM, but it was removed).

Bioshock 2 was converted to Steamworks a few months ago.
