Sealed non-H-seam NES games

Post by Meatgod »

Hey everyone, I'm new to the boards and was hoping you could could provide some insight into a little problem.

Back in the mid-90s, I bought a bunch of NES games on clearance from Sears. I recently took a look at them and discovered that not all of them have an H-seam, despite being purchased new and left untouched all these years.

The 3 games that do not have h-seams are:
-Star Wars
-The Empire Strikes Back
-Maniac Mansion.

The shrink wrap is professional looking (to the point that I only recently realized they didn't have the H-seam) and it's clear that the games themselves have never been opened.

Were these items likely re-wrapped or did any NES games ship without the H-seam? What kind of value do these things hold (they're in fantastic condition)?

Hey OP, have you asked this over at NintendoAge? I'm not sure we have many folks around here that would know the answer to that one.
