Re: Games Beaten 2013
For me a shmup is beaten when I see "the end." If I have infinite continues, so be it. Credit feeders gonna credit feed.
That said, I think I can get through DeathSmiles on like 3 credits.

They're already on my list, but yesterday I beat Batman, Golden Axe, and Altered Beast (all on the Genesis).

I find the final level to be drastically harder than the rest.noiseredux wrote:I can beat it on 2, but the 1cc has been my white whale.
DeathSmiles seems to be the easiest Cave game though. I've played some others and I can only get through the first level with no continues.

Golden Axe is just a fantastic game. Have you played Beast Rider on 360?Luke wrote:They're already on my list, but yesterday I beat Batman, Golden Axe, and Altered Beast (all on the Genesis).
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)
Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping!

I have not. Should I?TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote: Golden Axe is just a fantastic game. Have you played Beast Rider on 360?
Let's see...I have Golden Axe for DOS, Genesis, Sega CD, GBA, PS2, and 360. I definitely prefer the Sega CD version out of all of 'em.
Re: Games Beaten 2013
I wouldn't if I were you. I heard bad things about it. Stuff like "series killer" and all that. Negative reviews everywhere. Not faithful to the other games.Luke wrote:I have not. Should I?

1. Okamiden (NDS)
2. Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection (Wii)
3. Pinball Hall of Fame: The Gottlieb Collection (Wii)
4. Cave Story 3D (3DS)
5. Theatrhytm Final Fantasy (3DS)
6. Rayman Origins (Wii)
7. Kim Possible: What's The Switch (PS2)
8. Super Street Fighter 4: 3D Edition (3DS)
9. Metal Slug Advance (GBA)
10. Caveman Ninja (ARC)
11. Wario Land II (GBC)
12. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (GC)
13. Link's Crossbow Training (Wii)
14. Wario Land III (GBC)
15. Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (DS)
16. Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land (GB)
17. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (Wii)
18. Professor Layton & The Last Specter (DS)
19. Wario Land 4 (GBA)
20. Portal (PS3)
I completed WarioLand 4 a few weeks ago, but I forgot to write about it here. It is a very fun platformer with fantastic sprite work. It is much more of a traditional platformer than Wario Land 2 and Wario Land 3, however, and while I enjoyed it, I did not enjoy it as much as those games.
I played through Portal in a single sitting yesterday afternoon. While it is quite short, it is very fun, and I loved the game's "organic" puzzles. The writing was also spectacular, and GLaDOS is now one of - if not my very favorite - video game villain. Portal definitely deserved its critical and commercial success, and I am very much looking forward to playing through the sequel.
