Re: Getting back into Magic the Gathering
Heh, I used to play Tooth and Nail in Extended. Not a very interactive deck, but a fun one nonetheless!TEKTORO wrote:I started playing with revised first I think back in 1994, had my spurts here and there all the way up till 2007. I loved creating top tier original decks for local tournaments FNM, my highlights were playing a Tooth & Nail deck (Green) and Wild Mongrel Madness Deck (Green/Blue). I still have a deck list I came up with (long time ago) abusing the card Null Profusion and zero cost artifacts and a cheap costing spell with the storm ability to either ping or deck your opponent infinitely by turn 2-4 standard play (at that time).
I actually collect video games now that are trading card based since I will never be able to have time to play local any more, you'd be surprised how many console/handheld games that are out there.
I've actually been looking out for Trading Card-based video games, since it does often happen that I have no one to play with. If you have any to recommend, I'd love to hear em!

I use TCGPlayer. They're like the Amazon of Magic Cards and have a nice mass entry and cart optimizer to get the lowest overall price.chupon wrote:Starcitygames or troll and toad

I take it to the extreme to consider some of these, but here's what I have so far some of these aren't traditional trading card games, but may incorporate some deck building, extensive card libraries and varied battle components.dunpeal2064 wrote:Heh, I used to play Tooth and Nail in Extended. Re: Getting back into Magic the Gathering
FF7 did NOT have the Triad card game in it - only 8 and 9 did, and the game is a horrible mockery in FF9 compared to FF8.

Re: Getting back into Magic the Gathering
Thanks I'll correct that, Triad not being in FF7 is probably why I got to finish it and in FF8 I got no where as soon as I started playing Triad. Make sense lol.Retrogamer0001 wrote:FF7 did NOT have the Triad card game in it - only 8 and 9 did, and the game is a horrible mockery in FF9 compared to FF8.

I have a few decks, also have the online 2012 and 2013 editions. I don't play much, and when I do.. my friends and I never follow the rules. Great game though.

Re: Getting back into Magic the Gathering
Anyone here into Warhammer 40k? It's not for the faint of heart as far as playing with a budget goes, but I love the modelling and painting aspect of it, as well as the game having probably the best backstory/history to it in the history of science fiction.

Don't play the figurine game, but I do have Dawn of War II which I find fun to play.Retrogamer0001 wrote:Anyone here into Warhammer 40k?
