Yeah, only on Wii U VC. It isnt possible on Wii or 3DS.ZeroAX wrote:Seriously? I never noticed that. Or is that only for the Wii U VC?fastbilly1 wrote:But that should be good enough for a VC title. Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
So I have next week off, Amazon Prime, and was planning on putting this on my Amazon credit... so very tempted to order one. Looks like the price drop hit amazon now? Though the Prime rates are always a bit more.
But yeah what you guys are saying now, is the one thing I'm not excited about at all. Having like 5 controllers for this dang thing. Glad I have a Wii Classic Controller Plus (whatever, the names lost me awhile back).
So I figure I might bundle up the Deluxe U, Wii U Pro controller, and Wind Waker.

Stopped by 3 places on the way home from work, all sold out of Wind Waker HD, they all were like shaming me for not pre ordering, it was pretty annoying. I am surprised that they were sold out though, I did not expect a huge demand for this game honestly.
edit: make that 4 places, I tried my 24 hour Wal Mart just to see, and they had no copies either! Looks like I have a hunt ahead of me tomorrow, I wont give in to the digital version dammit!

Really? I thought it was just the Ganondorf statue CE that was limited - not the standard run.jay_red wrote:Stopped by 3 places on the way home from work, all sold out of Wind Waker HD, they all were like shaming me for not pre ordering, it was pretty annoying. From my experience, I tried to pre-order it, (the statue CE edition,) online more than a month ago and it was listed as "unavailable" for pre-order.
On a whim, I decided this morning to check online for availability at local stores and found one that had 'low stock' available. Called at 9:55am and after explaining that I'd be able to make it into the store in 4 hours, the Gamestop clerk said he'd hold a copy for me. By the time I got there, (3 hours later - an hour earlier than expected,) clerk tells me he denied 6 people my copy, saying it was already spoken for. Say what you will about Gamestop as a franchise - that's damn nice customer service on the part of this sales rep. First time I ever filled out one of those GS surveys...
Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
is this due to high demand or Wii-U units are never ordered in huge numbers in the first place

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
Being that Wii-U is considered "next-gen", and in addition to the fact Nintendo and most major retailers are foaming at the mouth to push units, I can't see the business logic as to not supplying a healthy quantity of 1st party software to consumers.RCBH928 wrote:is this due to high demand or Wii-U units are never ordered in huge numbers in the first place
Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
I am going to try target today, online it states that all stores around me have stock, so hopefully I will get a copy.

I find that surprising. I saw 2 units at K-Mart last week, 1 at Walmart on Wednesday (though I'm friends with the people who work in electronics and they don't usually put more than 1 unit out at a time), and 3 units today at Bestbuy. I'm not sure if you're in a bad location or I'm in a good one.jay_red wrote:Stopped by 3 places on the way home from work, all sold out of Wind Waker HD, they all were like shaming me for not pre ordering, it was pretty annoying. Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
ended up getting it at Target, they had 5 copies. Played today, and got past where I had been the first time I played, and am loving it so far. The swift sail makes things just flow better, and having the map always displayed is handy. The game looks great, and the music is amazing, I see myself playing this one all the way though (that is an issue I seem to have with Zelda games)
