Ticked: Power outage happened sometime after I went to bed and wasn't restored by the time I would normally wake up, so I've been running an hour behind today.

I don't know what the hell is going on with my mouth, but my top lip is swollen. It looks like I just got botox injected into it.

Bug hunting today. The kid is all excited that we get to go into the big field to 'pick boogs'. Her speech has been improving dramatically in the last few weeks as well. Instead of 'I food' when she is hungry, she says "I have food?" now. It's amazing waking up every day and getting to see what has changed with her. She can also count to 10 now.

Still no call backs for a job. If we do end up going back to La, I'm going to make a list of every funeral home in the area and go to each one of them and try to get a job. Both my family names are old and well known, so hopefully I can use that to my advantage. Even though I don't yet have my degree and certificate, I still have to do 100 supervised cases in the state of Louisiana to get my licences from the state. Hopefully I can get in now and get these cases done so that when I graduate, I can apply for my licences as well.

I burnt the shit out of myself today with the cutting torch, because some Sophomores were screwing around and made me run it across my arm after they hit it throwing stuff around.

I would rip their face off literally, hope you're okay. On the plus, nice to read about a school that still has shops, especially welding. When I was in High school learning the TIG, an idiot cranked up the amps as a bad joke. I burned thru the aluminum and melted the tip housing, shop teacher was not happy. The student that thought it was funny got the burn at the end.

I was alright, no worse than anything else I've gotten in there. It was a high level second degree, didn't get into third degree range. I've gotten electrocuted by the welder a couple of times too from people screwing around.

Sadly, our shop and class are horrible compared to the others around. I've seen the Ag Magnet school in San Antonio, nothing else around here compares.

My face ripping days are also over. I've had to stop my anger issues since high school started. I had some violent outbursts in 6th through 8th grade that definitely ruined my life for a while after my dad kicked my ass each time. My rage has really been swapped for my down moods. Not really sure which is better.
