best Dreamcast keyboard solution?

Honestly the Dream Connection 2 is the best way to play.

Where can these be found? I'd rather have small adaptors than a big clunky keyboard anyway.

Get lucky on ebay or a forum. Ive not seen them for sale in many years, or else I would own a set.

I'm currently using a cheapish Microsoft PS/2 keyboard and a Dream Connection 2 adapter (Saturn, PS2, and PS/2 keyboard support on DC).

no, it says Saturn, PS2 and PS/2. PS/2 = PC. Those plugs for keyboards (before USB keyboards became popular) were called PS/2.

"PS/2" is definitely confusing to mention on a video game forum though!

I never paid more than $12 (including shipping if applicable) for any of them. I don't know if they've gone up - the last one I bought was around February, but they just seem really common and cheap to me.

Atleast on eBay they seem to be more expensive than that, but not by whole much. I just bought 2 boxed ones and checked UK, US and JP sellers to see where it's the cheapest. Looking at eBay now, the prices seem to be around 10-16 USD for a cheap one and 25-33 for an expensive one. I don't know how much shipping within the US is, but I'd assume it's more than 5 dollars (US/Japan to EU seems to be in the 28-30 dollar range), so if you're buying from eBay, you wont likely find it for less than 12 dollars.

As for the PC version of Typing, I have played it, and it felt no different than the DC version, the people are even still wearing the Dreamcast backpacks with the huge battery.

It would be humorous if they instead had humongous PC towers in their backs
