Re: Nintendo 3DS
uh well, wow. Link to the Past is my favorite game of all time. So that probably explains why I adore 3D Dot Game Heroes so much. If you didn't like LTTP, there's a pretty good chance you wouldn't like 3D Dot, as it's basically an HD tribute to LTTP.
EDIT: Also, why the F is Bravely Default coming out December in Europe but US has to wait for "2014"? I mean... the translation is obviously done.

They have to remove all the "u"s from colour, humour ect.noiseredux wrote:EDIT: Also, why the F is Bravely Default coming out December in Europe but US has to wait for "2014"? I mean... the translation is obviously done.

Yeah, that is really odd. Cuz Awakening feels like a straight sequel to LTTP. Like, I'm not sure how you could like one and not the other?ZeroAX wrote: here's the real kicker, I loved Link's Awakening![]()

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I think it has a lot to do with dungeon legnth. LTTP has longer dungeons because it's a console game, and I get tired. LA's dungeons are shorter and thus more to my liking.noiseredux wrote: Yeah, that is really odd. Cuz Awakening feels like a straight sequel to LTTP. Also, the voices in this game are horrible

Thank god for the option of Japanese audio.

Now what the heck is the point of that? Don't you play as Kuros in the first 3 titles?BoneSnapDeez wrote:http://www.gamefaqs.com/nes/587777-wiza ... s-of-powerZeroAX wrote:Stark wrote: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate. Really enjoying Rune Factory 4 so far. Like a more fun version of Harvest Moon. Anyone else playing? Or anyone who has played previous games? Curious about how much actual story content there might be.

I would compare 3D Dot Heroes more to the original Zelda, especially in terms of overworld design. It was the one thing I wished was a bit different. But the dungeons felt a bit more complex like LTTP's stuff. But yeah the overworld is just one screen/panning at a time if I remember right, so the majority of the thing feels pretty blocky like Zelda and the GB/C games.

:'( ....but...but....I really tried, I swear. I downloaded a rom of this when I was a kid and I didn't get far, I bought it on the VC and I only got as far as the second dungeon, then I bought a physical copy of the SNES cartridge and only made it past the first dungeon of the dark world......I tried I swear I just can't like it....Xeogred wrote: We can't be friends anymore!
Honestly it makes ZERO sense to me cause I really liked the gameplay, just not the game itself. As I said it probably has to do with the dungeon design, who knows.
Do you teleport to the other side of the screen if you press select?Xeogred wrote: But yeah the overworld is just one screen/panning at a time if I remember right, so the majority of the thing feels pretty blocky like Zelda and the GB/C games.

Oh wow, I never thought I'd find another person, like me, who didn't enjoy A Link To The Past a whole lot and yet loves Link's Awakening. I don't remember which thread it was, but a year or two ago I had a decent discussion with some others here about how much I struggled to get into ALTTP. Most people found it weird when I later said Link's Awakening is my favourite Zelda game. I think it's down to the dungeon design too, but also because, to me, it feels like there's very little narrative or things that really drive the story forward.
