Everything that needs to be said about modern black metal can be said by searching for Vegan Black Metal Chef on YouTube.

As for metal tastes, I listen to only a little bit of Death Metal and no Black Metal. I like a couple of Doom Metal bands. I prefer Thrash. I used to like Nu Metal but largely quit listening to it after graduating from high school. What we like is what we like. No reason to be upset about it.

As for the discussion here, yeah, a lot of these guys talk about Death or Black, but there have been great conversations here on Thrash and Doom as well, along with respect for the classics like Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath. And yes, I've had folks here tell me they dislike a band I like. But just because we disagree doesn't mean I felt like I was being picked on. I like Ghost, Ghost B.C., or whatever the fuck they are called now. Bone can't stand them. But so what, we're still friends, and we can still have a conversation.

deftones are more of a heavy rock band at this point. i don't know why but i've always liked them. i'm glad they're back. kinda bummed i'm gonna miss them when they play indy on saturday but i don't care to see Ghost or Avenged Sevenfold, and i'll be in chicago getting my circle pit on to Kill Your Idols instead

I love how you, and Brunoah quote one section, and say it's all over that. Not the general attitude you guys have all the time, or the fact that more than just that was said about Deftones specifically. And again, I'm not even the guy that brought up Deftones.
