I too would go with Sega Saturn, I could just emulate everything else no problem. It would be very hard letting my Dreamcast go though.

Ignoring backwards compatibility and emulation in favour of fairness, I'd have to go with the SNES. I prefer the NES, but the SNES has a greater variety of games. I would never get bored with it.

Well obviously I would go with the Sega Saturn:). It is just such a fantastic system with loads of quality titles. Given That you will shell out the cash for NTSC releases it is all so worth it in my opinion.
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)
Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping!

Oh yeah!Frag Mortuus wrote:PS3 because mine is the 60gb BC model and still works great. That way I could play PS1,PS2, and PS3 games. Also, with PS+ I continually get new "free" games.
This answer may change in the future once we see how well GaiKai works. Then I may switch my answer to PS4 so that I could stream all of the older generation PS games.

I kind of feel the same way about the Dreamcast. The system doesn't have the largest library but what it does have is solid. Games that were instant classics and games that are still fun today.BogusMeatFactory wrote:I would go with the Sega Saturn as my choice. The system may not have the largest library in comparison to other systems like the PS2 or the SNES, but the titles it does have, have strong longevity. I could play Saturn Bomberman and Dragon Force all day every day. Add to it the challenging Panzer Dragoon games, great rpgs like Panzer Dragoon Saga and Albert Odysee and some of the best memories out there. If there is another person with me, I have Fighter's Megamix to play and love and also some of the best 2D fighting games ever.
The system offers everything I look for in terms of fun and exciting games.

Going to have to go with my PS3. It plays my PSOne games, and there are downloads out the yingyang. Yes, I know PS3 isn't retro (yet
) Still a great system. If I have to pick a retro console, I would pick a SNES (I have a RetroDuo with a flashcart).

PS3. Can play PS1, PS2 and PS3 games. Also a DVD player, and it has some special memories for me....
That being said...I don't entirely get why people are saying SNES and Saturn. Yeah great console (the SNES, never had a Saturn) but the prices for games these days? Better off getting a newer system. Hell even with the Wii or Wii U can't you just download those older games anyways? I never did it so no idea if i'm wrong or not.
Anyways i'm going sideline the OP a little and say this includes 1 handheld as well. If so, Gameboy Advance. Hands down, loveeeeeeeeee it. Had mine since I was a kid and it's still giving me hours of fun.
